Try These Backless Counter Stools

"Backless counter stools are so comfortable!"

Backless counter stools are ideal for those that plan to swivel around often. They’re also perfect at sending the message that you don’t want to be too formal and that people can relax. If this is what you’re going for, then you are in the right place. You obviously like to have a lot of friends over, and you’re going to continue to be able to host them once you get your hands on a nice set of these for your counter or bar.

Now, keep in mind that you can get a low back model that technically isn’t backless. While these are quite comfortable, I’ve found that most people think they don’t look as good as their totally backless cousins. That’s why I recommend you go all the way if you really plan on it. Once you’ve drawn up enough courage for the task, think about it for a minute. You’re about to really embark on a wild adventure. You’re about to make your home truly look nice and welcome.

Some people like the rustic look and for them I’d recommend a metal material of some sort, like iron or steel. Just keep in mind that these are extremely heavy (at least compared to other materials, like wood) and not easy to move around throughout your home if you so desired. For example, some people like their barstools set up at the kitchen counter and then they like to move them near other furniture in the living room if there aren’t enough seats.

If you plan on doing this, why not get a good wooden type? Say dark cherry or pine? They’re very beautiful and can come in all different styles, like the purposefully nicked unfinished models, or the padded upholstered types. They look great outside too, and don’t run the risk of rusting over like their metal cousins do. As if there wasn’t enough good stuff going on for them, they can also be folding and come in a wide range of sizes, from 24 inch all the way up to 36 inch. And as always, it’s an inexpensive material that’s so cheap it’s practically on a discount whenever you want it to be.

You can search online for custom types as well, like a tempo model. They’re great in a commercial application but now in homes too. People are even going after gas lift types because they like the power. They’re still going to be more expensive, but it’s all about what you want in the end.
